Guide Bridge Theatre Statements concerning our operations during the current COVID-19 situation

Coronavirus update as of Friday 10th December 2021

In England, face coverings must be worn from Friday, December 10, as per government guidelines, except while eating or drinking. This applies to all of our customers and our staff in public facing areas, unless exempt.

Exemptions include-

children under the age of 11
people with an impairment or disability
people to whom wearing face covering would cause severe distress.

It is not currently necessary to provide your Covid Status (i.e. proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test) to visit Guide Bridge Theatre.

We continue to operate enhanced cleaning in all areas and hand sanitising stations are available throughout the building.

Please bring a suitable face covering with you on your visit to Guide Bridge Theatre.

If you have any queries our house staff will be pleased to assist you.

Coronavirus update as of Saturday 1st August 2020

It is with much regret that in line with government guidelines and restrictions that we, the Guide Bridge Theatre general committee and directors, have decided to close the theatre to all groups and public facing activities. Unfortunately, this means all shows and bookings have been cancelled until the end of this year (2020).

This date may be moved further into the future depending on the developing situation.

This was not an easy decision to make but it is paramount that we keep the best interests of our audiences and volunteers at heart during this unprecedented and difficult time. We hope that you understand and can offer us your patience as we work through this process.

If you have already booked for one of the cancelled events then you will be contacted. The way this will be done will depend on the type of event. Please be patient with us as we work through this process.

For anyone whose children attend our youth theatre, again please check our website for updates on our course of action.

Keep well and as always thank you for your support,

The Guide Bridge Theatre Team

13th February 2019

Everyone at Guide Bridge Theatre have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19. This is a rapidly evolving situation and we will continue to regularly check and follow guidance from Public Health England, the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as that of local government.

At present, all performances are going ahead as planned with official advice currently stating that there is no clear rational to cancel events and the government encourages business as usual, however if you have a high temperature or a new continuous cough you are advised to stay at home for 7 days.

Please do not visit the theatre if you feel unwell.

Extra cleaning is in place on any areas of the theatre regularly attracting hand use and there is plenty of signage on display highlighting the importance of regular hand washing with all of our dispensers well stocked.

Please be assured that the safety and health of all theatre users at Guide Bridge Theatre is our number one priority. Should there be any changes to the current status, we will take account of any recommendations from the relevant authorities, and implement all appropriate instructions accordingly
