Front of House staff will look after a wheelchair for any patron wishing to transfer into a seat; it will be brought to the user during the interval and at the end of the performance. When booking, please state if you are a wheelchair user so that our team staff can ensure the best seats are available.
Accessible Toilets
There is one accessible toilet which is located in the foyer, directly opposite the auditorium doors. The toilet is a large cubicle fitted with a handrail, accessible wash basin, outward opening door and emergency alarm. There are also baby changing facilities in this toilet.
Car Parks
We have a small car park, with one designated accessible parking bay at the rear of the theatre however this does fill up quickly. Outside of normal business hours, you can also use the Droylsden Glass car park directly across the road. If you are using a sat nav, use post code M34 5TN - this will direct you to the road opposite the theatre where the Droylsden Glass parking is. There is plenty of on-road parking in the vicinity. Alternatively, Guide Bridge Train station has 140 free parking spaces and is just a 6 minute walk from the theatre (use post code M34 5HF).
Hearing Loop
We have a hearing loop (audio induction loop) installed in the auditorium for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting.
We welcome any comments and suggestions about the accessibility of Guide Bridge Theatre and our programme. Please email us at hello@gbtheatre.co.uk
Bringing Children to the theatre
You must be over the age of 16 to attend any performances at GBT unaccompanied.
If you're 15 or under, you need to be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.
No Children under 3 will be admitted to a performance except where it is specifically stated at the time of booking that the event is suitable for under 3s.
Babes in arms (children under 12 months unless otherwise stated at the time of booking and on the ticket) will only be admitted to performances that are specifically aimed for them (pantomimes and shows permitting under 3s only). Where babes in arms are permitted they shall be admitted free of charge to sit on an adults lap; they will not be allocated their own seat. If any other age restrictions apply for a particular performance this will be stated on the relevant production page of our website. You can add a free Babes In Arms Voucher to your booking after you have added your seats to your basket.
Children (ages 12 months to 15 years inclusive) shall require their own ticket which shall be at full ticket price if no child concessions are available at the time of booking.
Children (ages 15 years and under) must be supervised at all times. Supervision of children shall be by not less than 1 adult (aged 18 years or over) per 10 children and the supervising adult must sit next to the child/children. The GBT Duty Manager reserves the right to ask parents / supervisors to remove children if, in their opinion, the presence of the children is causing a disturbance.
