About your visit

Access Scheme

The Guide Bridge Theatre scheme is designed for those who need additional assistance to services within our theatre.

The scheme will make it easier for our customers to book accessible seats and facilities. It will also ensure our Front of House volunteers have the information they need in order to deliver the best possible service.

When tickets for a public performance first go on sale, row A will initially be unavailable for booking via Ticket Source so they can be made available to members of the GBT Access Scheme or anyone requiring accessible seats. Customers can book these via email (hello@gbtheatre.co.uk), by phone on 0161 330 8078 (when the phone is un-staffed, please leave a message and contact details and we will call you back, or in person when the Box Office is open. Any unsold seats in row A will be released for general sale two weeks prior to the date of the performance. We reserve the right at our discretion to release seats earlier on some occasions.

You do not have to be a member of the GBT Access Scheme in order to book tickets, however joining the scheme will allow you to receive advance information on any upcoming performances and to book the best-accessible seats including wheelchair places and companion seats. You will also receive pre-visit emails with helpful information that will ensure a smoother theatre experience.

To join the GBT Access Scheme, please complete the Access Scheme Registration Form

Saturday Solo Club
Love going to the theatre but not keen on going alone? Why not book using the GBT Saturday Solo Club option available when you buy your ticket..

Saturday Solo Club is open to anyone who would like to enjoy company and share the theatre experience. On arrival you will be greeted and shown to a seating area in the bar lounge reserved for the Club. Meet fellow ‘solists’ and enjoy complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. You will also receive a complimentary programme. Contact hello@gbtheatre.co.uk for more information.

Wheelchair Places

Step-free access is available via the front door of the theatre. There is a ramp from the box office corridor to the foyer and from there we have level access to the bar and coffee lounges, confectionery and auditorium.

There are two wheelchair places, one at either end of Row A (next to seats 1 and 9).

Rows A and B are on ground level. Rows C to K are accessed via steps at either end of the rows.
Box Office: 0333 666 3366
Admin: 0161 330 8078

Front of House staff will look after a wheelchair for any patron wishing to transfer into a seat; it will be brought to the user during the interval and at the end of the performance. When booking, please state if you are a wheelchair user so that our team staff can ensure the best seats are available.

Accessible Toilets

There is one accessible toilet which is located in the foyer, directly opposite the auditorium doors. The toilet is a large cubicle fitted with a handrail, accessible wash basin, outward opening door and emergency alarm. There are also baby changing facilities in this toilet.

Car Parks

We have a small car park, with one designated accessible parking bay at the rear of the theatre however this does fill up quickly. Outside of normal business hours, you can also use the Droylsden Glass car park directly across the road. If you are using a sat nav, use post code M34 5TN - this will direct you to the road opposite the theatre where the Droylsden Glass parking is. There is plenty of on-road parking in the vicinity. Alternatively, Guide Bridge Train station has 140 free parking spaces and is just a 6 minute walk from the theatre (use post code M34 5HF).

Hearing Loop

We have a hearing loop (audio induction loop) installed in the auditorium for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting.
We welcome any comments and suggestions about the accessibility of Guide Bridge Theatre and our programme. Please email us at hello@gbtheatre.co.uk

You must be over the age of 16 to attend any performances at GBT unaccompanied.

If you're 15 or under, you need to be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.

No Children under 3 will be admitted to a performance except where it is specifically stated at the time of booking that the event is suitable for under 3s.

Babes in arms (children under 12 months unless otherwise stated at the time of booking and on the ticket) will only be admitted to performances that are specifically aimed for them (pantomimes and shows permitting under 3s only). Where babes in arms are permitted they shall be admitted free of charge to sit on an adults lap; they will not be allocated their own seat. If any other age restrictions apply for a particular performance this will be stated on the relevant production page of our website.
