Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap aims to give young adults (16+) the opportunity to perform major roles and/or take responsibility for other elements of a production – directing, set design, lighting design, stage management etc. – giving them the training, experience and confidence to enjoy a lifetime’s involvement with live performance.

We're not expecting you to have masses of experience, just an interest in developing new skills and the willingness to have a go.

To launch Bridging the Gap, we will be holding workshops in five key elements of theatre:

  • Circus skills
  • Stage Combat
  • Singing
  • Dancing
  • Physical theatre (using your body to convey character/emotion)

All of these skills will be used in our first production, which is scheduled for performance at the end of July 2024.

Workshops will be held at Guide Bridge Theatre on Sundays from 5pm to 7pm.

The theatre is on the 219 bus route and a short walk from Guide Bridge station/347 bus stop.
