A family adventure full of laughter, love - and one very tall beanstalk.

Characters:

Jack Trott (Strong singer and actor) - Male or Female - 16 - 25
A brave, kind-hearted dreamer with hopes bigger than Trottsville. Jack’s courage, optimism and strong sense of right and wrong lead him from poverty to the clouds — and ultimately to saving both worlds.

Silly Billy (Strong comedic actor. No singing required) - Male or Female - 16 - 25
Jack’s well-meaning but utterly hopeless brother. Big heart, zero common sense. Always eager to help and almost always makes things worse. A constant source of chaos, warmth and unexpected laughs.

Dame Trott (Singing ability preferred) - Male - Ideally mature
Jack and Silly Billy’s long-suffering but fiercely loving mum. Loud, proud, endlessly funny and emotionally unstoppable. The backbone of Trottsville — whether the village likes it or not.

Malabella - (Strong singer) Male or Female - 16+
A powerful witch twisted by betrayal. Once connected to the magic of the clouds, her thirst for revenge drives the events of the story. Dangerous, dramatic and ultimately capable of redemption.

Flora / Princess Florabella (Strong singer and strong actor) - Female - 16 - 26
A mysterious fairy who guides Jack on his journey. Later revealed to be the Giant’s daughter and rightful heir to the Kingdom Above the Clouds. Compassionate, strong and quietly powerful.

Mrs Blunderbore (Singing not essential, but a bonus) - Female - Ideally mature
The Giant’s wife. Warm-hearted, chaotic and far more sensible than her husband. A comic force of nature who becomes an unlikely ally to Jack.

Flesh - Male or Female - No younger than 7
The sharper, nastier half of the villainous duo. Calculating, smug and convinced they are terrifying. Loves intimidation, paperwork and being in charge.

Creep - Male or Female - No younger than 7
The louder, sillier half of the duo. Overconfident, underqualified and constantly misunderstanding the plan. Thinks they are evil — very much aren’t. Together with Flesh, they form a bickering comic villain double act.

The Narrator - Male or Female - No younger than 12
The storyteller who frames the tale from beginning to end. Wry, self-aware and frequently interrupted by the chaos of pantomime. Keeps the audience in on the joke and the heart of the story.

Villagers / Ensemble / Dancers / Daisy the Tap-Dancing Cow - Played by the dancers and ensemble.
4 adult dancers (tap experience preferred)
10 child dancers (no younger than 7)

The people of Trottsville, Cloud Creepers, chorus members, banner holders and wedding guests. They transform the world of the play through song, movement and spectacle.
